Straping up an LPS

Hi,

Another really daft question.

I placed my order for a LPS and conversion neck from the custom shop two weeks ago.  So I've now got plenty of time to worry about my order :)    Which is real bad news for you guys.  Sorry.

I already have a really, really nice Historic 58 Les Paul and since I liked the look of the LPS so much on Warmoths site I thought I'd go for one to be a little different.  ie to keep the Les Paul vibe but be a little different.

Playing my Les Paul this evening has made me realise that where the strap connects with the body is close to the neck.  Obviously on a LPS it is quite a bit futher back on the horn.  Can any one with an LPS let me know if playing standing up with a strap feels confortable and natural.  I really hope it does,  Just one of the thing I didn't think about when orderering.

Thanks for your time.
Cheers
Dave

On a separate note I'd like to say that this is the most friendly and helpful forum I've found on any subject on the net.
You guys rock. :rock-on:

My LPS has the strap button on the upper horn, and the balance is perfect.

Never done it myself, bu I've seen some guys use a fractionally longer screw on the neck plate, and put the strap button on there rather than the horn.  Dunno how it would balance, but something you could try fairly easily without drilling into your body.

Just my thoughts  :dontknow:
