Storing the neck

So, if I buy a neck (exotic, no finish) now, and put it under my bed for a year, un-attached to a body or strings or whatever, will the neck be okay?

as long as "under your bed" is neither too moist or too dry... it'll be fine

very humid and very dry environments are bad

if you didn't mean literally "under your bed", but just in storage in a nice comfy place... SURE.. it'll be fine!~

Or you could mail it to one of us for safe keeping. I'd make sure it got loved frequently so it doesn't go bad.

On this subject, you really should order something in wenge, and the four-string variety.

Warmoth Pro or  Vintage? What kind of exotic wood? I've got Pro necks going on 5 years, and they just never move, never have had to readjust. The truss rod design on Vintage type necks seems to be more affected by temperature variations, I have an all Rosewood vintage neck that I have had to adjust twice in almost 4 years.

This would be a pro, rosewood neck.  And yes, literally underneath my bed.
