Wait, you people seriously don't see a resemblance?  :icon_scratch: I mean, they clearly don't look like exactly the same guy (all style point aside; I'm talking physical characteristics like nose and jawline) but they definitely look alike to me

I'd agree with this, need some current pictures, but anything I find doesn't exclude via's [mod edit] hair and sunglasses. Or his playing style for that matter, I don't even need to hear him to know I don't like him. At all. Even a little bit.

other than that, dNA totally gets where I'm coming from. it's insane how much these two guys look alike. they aren't clones, but the resemblance is there.

I know that this thread is around two years old now, but I was just watching a video featuring Bill Nye on YouTube and thought to myself "This guy really reminds me of someone, but I can't think who". When I realised that it was Steve Vai, I wondered if there were any other fans of both rock music and science who had noticed the same thing. When I Googled "Steve Vai Bill Nye", I was amazed that this thread came up. The thing is, it's not just a physical resemblance, it's the mannerisms when they talk. It's uncanny. I wouldn't be at all surprised if I found out that they were cousins or something. Anyway, I am glad that it is not just me that noticed the similarity, even though the way these two guys dress is about as different as it is possible to be.
