Hi guys, I’ve already build some instruments with Warmth necks and bodys. This time it will be a 5-string Jazz Bass.
A light alder body with a (roasted) maple neck.
I need an advice on the stiffening bars:
At it’s a 5-string with a 34 inch scale I’m a bit unsure about using steel or carbon stiffening rods.
On the one hand I do like a vintage tone and a lightweight instrument - one the other hand I’m not sure if this concept brings out a good b-string. Especially as I will use Gotoh lightweight tuners.
Do you have any experience with carbon on your 5-string bass necks? Maybe you can help me with my decision.
