I'm so jaded that Koa top isn't doing anything for me, but it's hard to tell is the picture of the top is out of focus a little bit, or if the figure is just ill-defined?

Is that just a really shitty picture of the top on the website?
 
It's a koa carved top with binding for $400. I thought it looked really great - not over the top Paul-Allen's-coffee-table wood but great.

Thank you.  I'm glad someone finally said it.  There is a fine line with the spalted and burl tops.  Some look like coffee tables, others look like antique store clocks.  It is a fine of example of too much of a good thing.  When done right, they're awesome, but most are over the top IMHO.
