silly question

Iconic aftermarket humbucker from Seymour Duncan. Been around since forever. Probably about 689,351,984 of them installed worldwide. Often paired with their Jazz humbucker in the neck position. Sold in pairs as "Hotrodded Humbucker Set". For many, if they only have one humbucker-equipped guitar, it'll have that set installed.

More background for those not familiar with the JB / Jazz combo.

Never heard of 'em. But I've always avoided Seymour Duncan since I saw that time he bought his guitar to his factory and made all his employees dance to his exciting rock and roll he cranked out.

Although I may have imagined that video.  :evil4:

I tried  JB in the neck position wired in parallel, and it sounded terrible. I'd go with a lower output humbucker than a JB .

Whether you imagined it or not, it's a poor reason to avoid using a pickup that you might enjoy. You may be hurting yourself. A huge chunk of the guitar-playing public thinks that's a great pickup. You owe it to yourself to at least try it. Besides, you may have already heard it a million times and didn't know it, since there's a lotta recorded music out there that used it. If Seymour wants to act like a dingbat, let him. He's earned it.

I'm sorry, but I like my dislikes like my women; irrational, and borderline insane.
