Shielding direct mount pickup routs?

How would you go about shielding direct mount pickup routs on a rear routed body, this while still having continuity between the other cavities?

I feel like copper tape would be somewhat visible around the pickups and look tacky, but shielding paint is largely a farce unless you have some miraculous way to get the paint all the way around the entire inside of the tiny tunnels the wires go through.

You can paint the pickup cavities with shielding paint, run a wire between the pickup cavity/control cavity, and use a small screw to ground it to the shielding paint

Personally I don't think shielding the pickup cavity is all that necessary/useful, particularly with humbuckers or otherwise hum-canceling pickups

I recently did shielding paint in my Esquire cavities, then tried soldering the cavity-jumper-wire to a little piece of adhesive copper tape, but subsequent paint melted the foil adhesive. Found some ultra tiny screws on Amazon and now its nicely fastened down and conductivity is good.
