Warmoth 6 holes screw spacing

So the VSVG is incompatible with 6-holes vintage Warmoth tremolo rout. Or not?

I find a good tremolo PRS style by Kluson (steel block), but string spacing is 52mm, screw spacing is 53mm.

Well, it looks to only be a 1.54mm difference. I'm sure if you wrestled with it, it'd fit, although I probably wouldn't want to install a bridge using too much force.

It looks like the VSVG has oval holes to account for some variation in screw spacing. From their pic, I would infer that 2.14" is the minimum, so 2.2" should be no problem.

it looks like the far right screw hole on the bridge is the only one thats circular. the rest are ovals, almost like they knew the bridge might not meet some specs exactly, so they planned for it to be able to work for different 6 hole trem styles. don't take that as a guarantee you won't run into problems, i'm definitely no hardware expert :icon_biggrin: but it looks like it would fit just fine. if the route were smaller and the bridge larger i might not be so confident about it, but this way i think it'll be alright.

I have two warmoths with VSVG on. Drilled for 6-holes vintage. No issues.

Well.
Tell me, but your tremolo is soft? Back to pitch perfectly?  How many springs do you have?
And above all: it is slightly tilted respect to body?

I can buy a good tremolo (PRS style) but I'm afraid at the thought then that it does not fit well.
I could make the holes but they are not able to do...:(
Thanks

Info on the VSVG appreciated, future build becoming clearer :icon_thumright:

Oh, and... "Screw spacing"? As close as possible! :icon_jokercolor:

No - I will call it middel-ish hard with 3 springs. I have both tremoloes floating ... so they are tilted with respect to the body. They go back to pitch without problems. A guy like Andy Timmons uses VSVG and it is also found on his signature guitars. And he really gives the trem some wankin'.

The bonus about the VSVG is that you can rest your palm on the saddels without "warpling" - making palmmutes and overall play comfortable. And when you have adjusted the intonation - it stays that way because each saddel is not dangling in a springs like on vintage trems which wears at some point.

Great news!
So, VSVG tremolo is 100% compatible with the 6 holes Warmoth vintage rout

For me another (big) plus of VSVG is the lever, not screwed but pressure  :blob7:
