NIfty.  I remember that mahogany VIP from the Showcase, but that Z-bass has gotta be a full-custom job.  Would love to see the final finished product photos - and encourage the owners to join this forum!

Your signature block says you're affiliated with Halo - are you in Cupertino?  I live in Santa Clara, ten minutes from their shop on Stevens Creek.

I'll post more pictures of the finished instruments as soon as they're ready - probably some videos, too.
What kind of pickups and bridge do you think would be cool on the bass?
I was thinking Babicz Full Contact Hardware and EMG Active PJ pickups.

ABH Instruments are completely different than Halo instruments.
Yes, we are also located in Cupertino with Halo.

ABH Instruments is almost totally service oriented.
Our specialties are (1) sourcing all the materials, bodies, necks, hardware & electronics needed for building premium instruments (2) assembling, customizing and setting up instruments with customer-supplied parts, and (3) offering fully-built, premium instruments for sale.

For example, one of our customers recently brought in a couple USA Jackson bodies and necks he purchased off EBay. He wanted to put it together himself, but didn't know how and was afraid he might damage something in the process. He was also unsure of all the miscellaneous hardware he needed to complete his project (compatibility, various screws, knobs, springs, strap buttons, etc...). After a few detailed conversations, we knew exactly what he wanted and needed for his projects. In another week or so, he'll come and pick up his fully-built, road-ready USA Jackson guitars.

I like the Babicz hardware, except for the big, honkin' BABICZ logo glaring out at you.  The machinery looks pretty nifty, though.  If your customer has no objection to the brand, I'm sure he/she will be happy with the performance.

Anyhoo - welcome aboard!
