Runaway - Warmoth Tele & Strat

Here's an instrumental version of Del Shannon's monster tune, since nobody (but NOBODY) can sing it like he did. I used a Warmoth Tele for everything except for Del's falsetto parts, which I did on a Warmoth Strat. Both guitars have big necks and frets (all 4 of my regular Warmoths do; only the baritone has "normal" frets and a thinner C-shape neck), plus instead of the Clavioline-like keyboard on the record, I played the solo on the Theremin, which I think worked out pretty well. The original is just such a classic I don't think there's much point in trying to duplicate it.

I used to work on E-Types back in the early 70s. Still have a few blue flame wrenches. This one is for removing V12 exhaust manifold bolts.

I never owned an XKE, just two MGs (A and B), a Spitfire, and a GT6, which was a poor man's XKE. All of them broke down constantly, but they were just so much fun to drive. But that Jag...prettiest car ever made IMO, even including Testarossas and GT250s. That is one hell of a wrench!

I used to have the Chilton manual for a Midget. In the section on changing the transmission oil, it said "remove the radio speaker, using your third hand."
