Routing a Warmoth body.

I'm considering adding a lower toggle to a 7/8 T style body and wondering if a body with a maple top is ok for this (whether the cap will tear).
Anyone ever taken a router to a maple top?

I used a dremel on a chambered korina body with a korina top .... no problem.
