Roasted Maple top

Saw some bodies in the showcase with roasted maple tops. Don't recall reading about these and you can't build them. Anyone know if you can do a double lam top with it?

IIRC, I've only seen Roasted Maple tops as an option in the Unique Choice section.

Not that there's anything wrong with the idea, but it doesn't get you anything either so why would you want to?

Because the ones I saw were pretty LOL.  They have a different shade/color to them. 
Also I figure torrified maple has a closer strength/weight ratio to spruce, which is what I am trying to get close to for this semi hollow build idea.
