that looks like a set neck....PRS.
1. The OP says it's a VIP (that means a Warmoth)
2. There's a pretty obvious line where the neck meets heel
:icon_thumright:
and....
3. It doesn't have the PRS trademark "scoop out" in the lower horn.
4. It doesn't have the PRS trademark recessed control knobs
To arealken: here is my top 10 list of things I would rather do before I tried to replace the inlay on a fretted neck:
10. Clean a battleship from stem to stern with a toothbrush.
9. Strip the "popcorn" texture off a ceiling and repaint it....using a spoon and 100,000 bottles of white nail polish.
8. Crawl from Seattle to Cincinnati on my hands and knees, while pushing a boiled egg with my nose.
7. Be the clave player in Santana's band.
6. Mud and tape drywall in a 3000 square foot home. Then tear it all down and do it again. All of it without a dust mask.
5. Stand in the checkout line at JoAnne's Fabrics.
4. Watch an entire Eric Johnson concert DVD....with the sound muted.
3. Count the hairs on Janeane Garofalo's head.
2. Listen to an Adele album all the way through.
....and last but not least...
1. Rebuild the entire Warmoth website from the ground up, on an entirely different platform.
Buying a new neck will be cheaper, better, and leave you more time to actually play the thing.
Just my $.02.
