The link works, so you're good to go. It's a bit embarrassing, though. Reminds me of the old joke about how the only relief from the pain of banging your head against the wall is to stop. Well, duh!

Those people have created their own situation. If they don't like it, it's within their power to change it. That they choose not to is fine - who cares? They're in charge of their own destiny. Nothing is stopping them from being a great nation other than themselves. So, I don't want to hear any crying and complaining about the lack of manna from heaven.

It's the same way in the inner cities. Everybody wants to whine about how they're not getting any services or nobody's feeding them or the schools suck or new cars aren't showing up every week for free. Gimme a break. Why does nobody else have these problems? I'll give you one guess, and I'll even give you the answer: because they make their own way. Nobody's gonna take care of you but you. Get used to the idea. Even birds and cockroaches are hip to it.

Cagey, I respectfully dis-agree.

True, while some perpetuate their own individual situation, there are other ramifications that continue to contribute to the situation.  It's not a black & white issue, but all too often we treat it as such.  As much as we would like to think that any situation of poverty and disfunctin can be resolved overnite, that sadly is not realistic in application.  With committed long term efforts, my grandchildren may possibly see the fruits of success in poverty here in the United States, and hopefully the rest of the world as well.

I'm gonna leave it at that, because utlimately I was hoping to share the song in its wider view musically, not just lyrical content wise.  I also wanted to share how playing for the song is important and not just throwing "meedily meedily" in their for self indulgent sake just works against the strengths of a song.

What amazes me is that a heartbeat of the aboriginal culture has survived 500 years of attempts to obliterate it.

I more than sympathize with your cause, if not with your solution.

Let us know when you have a mix you are happy with.
