Add a punch-out option on rear route covers for a battery box so you could order one later and install active electronics after the fact.

Interesting thought, except usually the battery box is secured to the wood with screws.

Nothing keeps you from installing a battery box an not hooking it up. Allows you to carry a spare 9v for your pedals. Or Grandma's ashes, for that sake.
