For those that are curious here's a (terrible) side by side of Warmoth's pic vs mine. It's always tough for me to determine what the Showcase finish will look like in real life so hopefully this helps. There's a definite hint of mai tai in its presence .

I've never had a blue guitar.

Would nickel hardware be a good match? Black, gold, and aged is out, so it's down to nickel vs chrome.

Thoughts?

I would put chrome on it. That's not to say nickel wouldn't look good but I'd want the extra shine.

I can vouch for that tele, DBU did a fantastic job, and it sounds amazing...
