I don't get it myself. but then again I am not too familiar with W bass options...  :icon_scratch: :tard:

30? 32?  20 frets, I'm guessing 32" conversion neck.

A 32" Jazz with PJ setup might make me go insane. Actually I could put it on my dinky PJ and get a full Jazz bass for the current neck. Wife will boil me in oil!

I am seriously not liking that 20 fret thing. It's completely unplayable to me without the high E.
Please tell me that there will be a 21 fret model??

32" J bass.  Body and neck.  It feels real comfortable.

I'd be happy with a 32" scale, but 30" would be excellent. I can handle the usual 34" but not being a bass player full time I do tend to hope for less stretch.

Any idea of when this option might be available? :icon_biggrin:

2 things...
1. Any hope for a conversion neck, instead of body/neck?
2. When are CT teles showing up on the warmoth site?

So this is not a conversion scale? Too bad, not that I'm sure how possible it even is on a bass. In my limited experience, 30" is pretty floppy and you really lose tone, 32" would be just the right balance between comfort-for-guitarists-and-small-people, and tightness / tone.

String it with the E and A in the A and G spots, get a glass slide, and an over driven ampeg tube bass amp, you get Morphine time.  I am thinking TV Jones pickups...  Crap.  I thought I was making head way on the list of projects I wanted to build.  Grumble, grumble, grumble.

Nope, not a conversion neck - it's a different  neck and body.  2 3/8" heel width instead of 2 1/2" and true 3/4" bridge spacing instead of  .790"-ish makes everything look and feel correct.  Pickups positions are scaled appropriately so everything sounds right, too.  I strung the prototype up this morning and it's sweet!

20 fret is vintage, and there's not a lot of cutaway access to reach any more than that... plus the flush heel you get with 20 frets makes the truss rod easy to get to.  What do you guys think?

The prototype has been making the rounds at the shop.  Good reviews all around!  Definitely feels comfortable to me.

My mind start to play tricks to my pocket :laughing7:
