Agreed, investing in quality pays off handsomely in the long term - and the immediate rewards are pretty good too. As we've seen many times, there are still a lot of myths doing the rounds on stainless. The luthier who does my stuff was apprehensive at first but willing to give it a go. As a result he found he could install without extra difficulty (and on a bound neck which even Warmoth doesn't do). I kind of get the impression that Precision Guitar Kits actually do some elements of their fretwork with a CNC so perhaps that is an issue as things wear out much faster when they are going at X'000 RPM.
Anyway, I don't get the impression that they can do much customization. They seem to have put a lot of thought and work into creating a very specific LP CNC template and don't really provide much in the way of options other than biding and 2 neck profiles.
Though Warmoth drills Sperzels @ 9.92 mm, I don't think there is much of an issue with using them in 10mm tuner holes. Maybe you want to give Sperzels a whirl, they are outstanding tuning machines. Looking at the Warmoth tuner hole page, I don't see that any of the major vendors actually have a 10mm diameter tuning peg so have to wonder about the metric choice on that one.
