Nothing pisses off an incumbent legacy player more than honest, legitimate competition. If they weren't already in trouble with the DOJ, they'd probably be lobbying for some sort of carve-out in the regulations to allow them to do things nobody else is allowed to do, re: imports. Then, they'd be dumping money on the FTC and the USTR to prevent anything from coming from overseas, where it's been shown they can be out-performed by just about anybody for an order of magnitude less money. Locally, they're already pushing for protections they shouldn't be allowed from top-notch performers like Warmoth.
They're pitiful, I guess is what I'm trying to say. If they made a superior product at a reasonable price, they wouldn't have anything to worry about. But, they can't, so they litigate. It's sad. Nobody wins but the lawyers. As far as Gibson's concerned, players, workers, shareholders
et al can all be damned. Bleed 'em all, and let God sort 'em out.
