Please show me your clear / amber backs

Hi guys,

i am currently planning a soloist build with flamed maple burst top, but i can't decide between the clear and amber back finish with a clear line.

Would be glad if you could show me some pictures of your guitars that got a clear or amber back, my wood choice will be either mahagony or alder.

Also, you should consider what your neck will look like.  For instance, some people like to match the back of the neck to the back of the guitar body.  Others will go for a raw neck, that doesn't match but complements.
Up to you.

The neck i'll be using will either be a nice musikraft roasted maple neck or a new warmoth roasted maple neck, haven't decided yet. Either way, its gonna be a neck finished with oil&wax.

Not to hijack the thread, but how did you do the heel recess on that tele? Angle grinder? I'm looking to do something similar on my current build.

That body was actually made for me by Attila's guitars in Ohio, and I requested he do that for me. I got the idea from my Jacksons. And my Billy Bo has the same recess...I prefer it to the contoured heel...
