also , I don't think I've ever seen one with a pickguard , if you have, post a pic of it
otherwise DIY is an option , it should'nt be that hard at all , then you can farm the template out to Terrapin to cut it for you if you don't want to or can't
do that part of it .
OK ,all that looks right on the rear . . .so do you have any idea of the pick up config. the previous owner used ?
And what pup config are you going to go with ?
Interesting body. It has a channel cut for a heel ended truss rod, a top loading hardtail bridge, rear routed controls, and a square universal pickup rout. Unless I missed it in the pics, I also don't see any existing pickguard holes. So there's a good possibility there won't be anything stock that will drop in.
Otherwise, maybe get a pickguard blank from Warmoth and see if a luthier - or even yourself - could fashion a pickguard using a Strat as a kind of template to modify to fit?
WOW!, you should just put a clock in that and hang it on the wall as that's as good as it will ever look,
Or send it to CB, he burns guitars arround x-mas time and that's comming soon
I was waiting for someone to soak this body , and you took the bait . . .
I think it presents some possibilities , I'm assuming it was purchased for pocket change . I think it would be cool to fill it back
in and then do regular pup routes and then try to design a unique p/g shape , or a design doing woodburning with a soldering iron and those special tips(what's this technique called?) then shooting clear over all of the body .
Yes, It was purchased for pocket change. :headbang:
I am going to sand it down and fill in that hole with a piece of Bloodwood then recut for a humbucker. I also thought about throwing a Bartolini Bass pickup in their to see how it sounds.
