Painting an ash body

Allright so i'm going to paint a Mustang ash body for a guitar project of mine and since i know nothing about paint i need to ask you guys about some issues. The colour and looks will be Vintage/Olympic white just like the one in the photo.
Doing a little research i figured out i should go like:
Grain filler (which should i use? Does colour matter? I live in Europe. Any good European brand?). Paint and sand.
Then down with the primer (a white one i guess?)
Once the primer is done and sanded, i should spray the colour (it's some nitro spray cans i found in France, i think it sais somewhere they're Colortone. Are those any good?) than sand it.
Finally, i should apply a clear coat of lacquer to preserve it and give it the glossy or satin look, depending on which lacquer i use.
Did i get the whole process right? I'm open for suggestions

Go.

That should answer most of your questions.
Other than that, have a great time.

Keep the pics coming. I love to watch progress threads.

If Timbermate grain filler is available in your locale, use it - it's water soluble, cleans up easy, and dries fast.  You can do two or three passes of filler and sanding (which ash may very well require) in a few hours.  Check http://www.timbermate.com.au and go to the "contact us" page to see if you can find a local contact for a distributor.  Check with specialty woodworking suppliers in your area as well.

Nope, apparently it's not available down here.

Yeah i had already read that topic way back when i first thought about the project, which by the way is here http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=18800.0 and it let me with some doubts nonetheless.
I think i'll buy everything from the same site in france.
Are these products ok for what i'm after? There's pretty little selection of brands, and there's even less info about the products.
