I ordered two Total Vintage Tele Fatback necks in 1/4 sawn maple, 1 11/16 nuts, 6105, Kluson ream, with compound radius today.  This is the first time I have had the opportunity to use the compound radius on a total vintage neck and I am really looking forward to seeing how they turn out.

They should be tone-generating monsters.

Pictures in a month or so.

Well stand in line since mine's before yours there Tonar!~~

I agree that the fat backs are good for tone, and I've really gotten used to, and prefer, the baseball bat neck.

Apart from truss rod adjustment access, what else is different between Vintage and Modern Vintage necks now that they offer Compound Radius for all ?

Well... you can get VM with 21 frets, or TV with compound (or other) radii.  I THINK the difference is that the TV is still one solid block of wood, whereas, the VM is neck+fretboard.  I think.

All my VM's are one-piece necks.  The big difference prior to the recent change was the TV only came in 7 1/4 radius with 21 frets and all the VM's had 22 frets.  Now the compound radius is available on the TV.

I believe the main difference between the two now would be the truss rods and the location of their adjustments.  TV’s adjusts at the base of the neck and the VM at the headstock.

Any way you look at it now we have even more options to choose from.  I am dying to try a TV 59 Roundback with a compound radius.

The TV and VM, if Maple/Maple it's one piece and a Skunk Stripe.  On the TV if neck and fretboard are different woods, no Skunk Stripe.  On VM, they all have Skunk Stripes.  On the Warmoth Pro, I've gotten a few looks because it has a Maple fretboard glued to Maple neck and no Skunk Stripe.
