Been a good while since i've been on here, but i finally almost have my first project finished. despite much criticism and frustration i actually managed to convert a standard tremolo routed strat into a hardtail firebreather  :guitaristgif:
it's not perfect, but i love it, it's definitely a great player's guitar. i love the feel and the output this thing has, the notes are very lush, i love the rosewood neck, the whole thing just sings. specs are below, with pics, (sorry for the pic quality, but eh...)

Let me know what you guys think  :icon_thumright:

Body - Standard Alder Satin Strat

Neck - Warmoth All Rosewood, 25 1/2 Scale, Pearloid Inlays, Graphite Nut.

Machine Heads - Locking Schallers

Bridge - Schaller 475 Hardtail

Pickups - Neck Humbucker/Bare Knuckle Cold Sweat  -  Bridge Humbucker/Dimarzio Super Distortion (wired pretty standard for a 5-way HH, Bridge at the bottom, coil splitting on the in betweens, center both on, and top is the neck only.)

Hardware is all Black......blacker than the blackest black....times infinity.

Looks promising.  Did you make the cavity plug or did you buy one of those Hipshot prefab jobbers?

I got one of the hipshot blocks, then went to the local craft store and got a few blocks of mahogany and used a bandsaw to cut the pieces to size to fill in the gaps in the cavity that the hipshot didn't fill,
that being done, i fitted it into the cavity and glued the now enlarged block in, then screwed it in. cut a few shims out of the mahogany and wedged them into the millimeter sized gaps still remaining until the whole piece was solid as a rock.

Looks good, but you should get a matching bridge pickup! :)

Therein lies the one piece to go... :-\ those Bare knuckle pickups (though absolutely amazing) are soooo pricey, but now that it's tax season i should be able to finish it up,
and i can put that super distortion into something else  :icon_thumright:

Nice job. Looks like a nice Bridge and I love the neck, it's beautiful.
Thanks, i really want to get it completely finished with a  new pickguard and the bridge humbucker, and take some better pictures of it
maybe like some of those nice outdoor shots i see out there on the forum  :icon_thumright:
