Old school Warmoth SG

I have an old Warmoth SG body I scored a few years ago.
These seem to be pretty hard to come by anymore.

This build is going to be wicked, and I’ll post after pics once it’s done.

I have 2 questions.

It appears to have had a Bigsby trem, can I drop a TOM in using the existing holes?

I need a “full face” pickguard, can I use a standard one or will I need to get one custom?

It looks like the Bigsby, or whatever tailpiece it had, was drilled for on top of totally regular tune-o-matic and stopbar post holes. Obviously you should measure the main four holes to be sure, but to me that looks like someone had a TOM&bar body then quite lazily drilled holes for something like a Bigsby (those holes don't actually look big enough to take a Bigsby's mounting screws) and did not touch the original bridge's holes. I would expect a TOM and stopbar to drop right on.

As for the pickguard, you'll need to draw one up and get it cut custom. Warmoth's SG/Diamondback bodies—old or new—have everything drilled for 25.5" scale, so the pickups and bridge aren't quite where they'd be on a regular SG.

Sweet, I wanted to get one but never did. Wish I'd ave gotten an original VIP before they changed them..

Drooling! That is going to turn out great. I wish I had returned to playing a little earlier than I did and snagged one of these bodies. Man, a custom SG style guitar would be pretty awesome. I can embrace the current Switchback but not so much the Diamondback.
