What headstock for my new body.

My first idea was reverse warmoth headstock.

and Max feel free to photo shop I know you want to!!!!

Hrmm reverse warmoth would be kind of subtle wouldnt it? Im feeling jackson or K lawrence. I dont know though, the z body is too radical for me.

Warmoth headstock with matching paint

Brian

Sadly Warmoth wont do this paint job custom order. apparently it takes several tries to get it right and its more of a experimentation thing for the painters. I suppose its understandable they would lose too much  money.

and I thought that warmoth wouldnt make a KL neck from scratch? am I crazy? I could have sworn I read this on here somewhere!

Okay...that is BADASS...and it needs Black Hardware and an Original Floyd Rose!!!
Agreed, all maple with the KL headstock, black hardware with a Floyd, of course.... :headbang1:

its getting black hardware. a wilk trem, white pickups, 1vol, 1tone, 3way toggle.

I really wanted to try wenge for the neck and ebony for the fretboard.

I dunno - the KL headstock doesn't match this guitar body, in my opinion.

The Warmoth headstock is nice but probably a bit too plain for this body.

What would be cool is a 2+4 asymmetric design, a bit less pointy, but still nicely curved.

If you go this route, don't do the reverse.  The first pic, (what would you call it, right handed headstock?)  follows the curves of the body more.

My thoughts exactly^

If you really like the KL headstock, you could get in touch with Bob in the custom shop. I had a canary with ziricote and the KL headstock custom made.... :headbang:
