New neck just arrived. I installed it and the nut string height out of the box is way too high. It's like almost 1/8" high. Is this normal? I was under the impression it would come much closer to ready-set-play.
Yeah, it's normal. They don't know what size strings you're going to use or what height you're comfortable with, so they leave room to widen/lower the nut slots.
