Okay, so now that I've moved on beyond the meaning of life, the universe, and everything, my wife bought me a pedal. After about 20 years since ditching the CS2 and CE2, and whatever other noise makers I once owned, I bought a Korg Pitchblack.
It's just a tuner. A tuner/mute button belongs on the floor where I can see it and nobody else really needs to. Whats the harm? Try it man, its just a tuner...everybody's doing it..
And it remained that way for another 2 years. Then I started thinking...i still don't want a bazillion crappy coloration devices add hiss and buzz and tempting me to dance instead of playing the guitar, but a delay - thats not just coloration, it can change the way you play. At least your distortion is coming from your amp!
I knew the tuner was a slippery slope... So i started dropping hints (ie link, here it is, you can go get one in person locally here). And my wife gave me a Behringer DD400 for my birthday.
And of course, I told her:
THANK YOU!!
Thank You!
thank you
thank you
And she was flabbergasted that I was so gushingly grateful until I went and explained the joke. Oh well, maybe I should have let that one go unexplained.
