I used to get FTP crawled about twice a day from Google.  Finally, I got tired of them trying to effectively hack into my FTP server, so... I locked out their IP's, then the whole subnet - which they own.

Checking the logs tonite, I see Google has been busy exploring the extent to which their access has been denied.  Very busy in fact, hitting my server about 10 times a minute for hours at a time. 

And I thought only the Chinese wanted world domination.  Nah...

I didn't realize Google bothered with FTP sites.  If you blocked their subnet, are you saying they are probing your firewall now or are they using new IP addresses?

Wow, that's got to be fake or something!

If I needed guitar lessons, I wouldn't be opposed to a nudist, but OTOH, there are plenty of teachers around, I'll just find someone else who wears clothing.
If this is going to be an online lesson, I would much rather not have someone peer over my computer screen to find a naked man on the webcam. :sad:

Same thing I thought too, until I noticed a pattern and started looking at the registrant of the IP addresses.  Made me go HMM.  What I see is they hammer me from one address,  and when it gets denied, they scan up and down from port 2 to port 49xxx, then since I've got port 80 open for the HTTP, they whack that with their bots for a while, give up and switch source IPs and start in all over again.  I mean, I'm locked down pretty well here.  I allow access on port 21 and 80 and sometimes.... 8080 and 8888 for some remote sensor applications at work.  Its just the nature of their bots to get in, in... and see whats there.  Thats what Google does I guess.  And I dont want to let them in, and so I dont.

although, on most US tv channels the tiniest bits of boob or buttocks are blurred out..and not just during daytime! are people really offended by seeing that?
as you said, I agree that a child shouldn't see close ups or full on action.

This might be getting too much into a religion and politics type of debate, but yeah, there seem to be people all over the place that are offended by anything.

Nothing more than the natural human form, and what is there to really censor out anyways? The shape?
