very nice! it's very clean. i like it a lot. as soon as i can really call what i've got a "set up" i'll be excited  :icon_biggrin:  for now it's just a cheap amp for me  :-\

I can't see yours Tbird.  but I do like yours Jay.

When i started getting serious about gear It was a difficult decision whether to pick floor effects or rack effects.  I ended up going with floor effects because of price,  Racks always seem to be more expensive and on top of that you need a controller.

On the other hand I played with a band last week that had a rather cool setup. I always like seeing what other gearheads come up with.
This guitar player had a Randall cab that he hooked up to his rack gear.  He had an X2 wireless just like you, a couple graphic EQ's and a Line 6 preamp which he fed into a Crown PA amplifier.  It was something I had never really thought of before.  Using a generic power amp with the preamp of your choice.

Sometimes I wish I had gone with rack gear... but one thing is for sure, I never wanted to deal with both at the same time.

This kind of thing is likely where I'm heading.  I like it - but I need to sell some more gear to afford it.

I fixed the link of my rig. Jay just quoted it to get it to show in the response.

Nice. Missing some ampage, though.  :-\

ampage?  I can output a self monitor (HPR122I as seen here) at over 130db. What do I need ampage for :)
the other line goes FOH

I was really hoping someone would notice the nice handiwork in routing the cable from back of rack to front of rack. The right att is now in the back on a spacer panel I made.

I've seen people make guitars out of trees and a Tele finished with wallpaper.  Wow, you can use a drill.

Sorry to disappoint. I was hoping someone could see some of the thought into this, rather than someone saying it needs ampage when 130db is on the meter. I guess it isn't for everyone. I just got tired of lugging a tweed, blackfaced fender, plexi and vox to everything many times each week.

I'll hold back on the W VIP and T pics I was getting ready to post. After all it is nothing more than sanding and finishing. Gosh sandpaper, a sprayer and rags are MUCH less complex than a drill.

no thumbs up for you STDC

We're more than happy to complement, just don't go fishing for them.  Besides, if you've read any of my 1646 posts, I'm as light hearted as anybody.
Read a good share of them over the last couple +  years. Mostly self serving.
I was simply trying to point out something that wasn't readily noticable in my pic.

Can't have ampage without an amp. THAT's a killer rig. Still missing the amp.  :icon_jokercolor:

Just kidding man. Looks good.

Top - down

Rack
XDR X2 wireless
Furman power conditioner
Fractal Audio Axe FX Ultra
bottom is a 2U drawer

cab
QSC HRP112i. Its a powered FRFR monitor. Will get to 131db so way enough for monitoring needs.

board is a LiquidFoot Pro

My preferred setup is to run a XLR from the Ultra to FOH and a second XLR to the QSC for monitoring.

This has replaced a 69 Bandmaster Reverb, a Cornell Plexi, a borrowed AC 30, a ton of effects and different mikes.
Now the back doesn't hurt, doesn't take forever to load in/load out and fits on a smaller stage. Oh and does a ton more than what the previous gear did.

I think I know how I can help you get a bit more space in your house  :laughing7:

Dude... That's amazing. The day I can say I've replaced a '69 Bandmaster will be the day my life is 100% complete.  :hello2:

Well, about all that is left from the old setup is the 69 Bandmaster Reverb. Haven't really gotten to selling it. I do not have the matching cab, but a 2x12 Avatar cab loaded with Lead 80s. Other things still left are a 1X2 Avatar with a Hellatone, some effects, and some unbuilt BYOC effects. To think about it, I also have a slightly used Warmoth strat neck. BE Maple/Pao ferro board with Kluson style tuners. Std thin at 1 11/32.

I need to take some photos and sell this stuff.
