Ever find yourself lining up with some guitar player you can't stand? Yeah, he's a self-absorbed prick. Yes, he tends to play a bazillion notes a minute ALL the time, because he can. But.... I found myself looking at puzzle pieces recently of some of my recent direction: Strat (S/S/S variety) + Marshall + orchestral arrangements... dangit that's that to sound like that swede we all hate. So I went back for a listen.... the personality assessments were spot on, but the boy does get a couple things right. Really has me pondering a scalloped neck again.
So 1) who else have YOU found yourself accidentally converging with, and 2) Anyone who's stuck it out on a scalloped board, how long did it take you to finally feel at home, and did it make you want to get rid of your other guitars (perhaps out of necessity), or is jumping back and forth not an issue (after the initial transition.)
