no finish body

I know that warmoth makes "no finish" necks, do they make no finish play raw body's as well. just thinking out loud.

Sure, the same wood that doesn't require finish on a neck wouldn't require finish on a body. You'd have to call them about availability though.

Last time I asked they said they can usually do wenge and it costs $200 more than alder on a bass body. That'd be one heavy guitar, though.

You can "not finish" any body, any wood.

The neck finish is for stability, sealing.  Body's are less subject to problems.

I've often pondered the possibility of an unfinished Padouk San Dimas style Strat.

Padouk/Ebony neck
Abolone Dot Inlays
Black hardware and Floyd

I've been loosely considering an alder strat, with no finish or maybe 1 nitro coat. Throw on a canary neck and just go with it
