So the other day, were were tracking for our EP, and we invited our friend Travis to come sit in. We got talking and i was saying that i was thinking about selling my SG to get a new interface. I never play my SG, as much as i tried to like it, I've never been an SG guy.

He had bought a Schecter Synyster Special a while ago, on impulse, but never played it.

Then our eyes met.

So we traded.

Yeah, not i can't but my interface, but whatever.

The value in dollars may not be the same, but the schecter is more my style, and both guitars will get more use now.
I love it.
It's a bit more subtle, compared to my Synyster Custom, and i love the Avenger body shape!

Happy NGD, if it weren't for those gaudy (even by Schecter standards) inlays I would probably own a couple of these. They sell for relatively cheap used around here.

On this one, the inlays are just gothic crosses, unlike the Syn Custom, which has the Deathbat at the 12th, and S Y N up the neck. But even the gothic crosses aren't everyone's cup of tea.

(For those of you who don't know, the deathbat is the Avenged Sevenfold logo)

That's not too bad actually, it looks like a Hellraiser Avenger FR with Invaders in it. I wish the Syn 8 prototypes were more subtle; the Avenger shape is one of my favorites. :guitarplayer2:

I saw those.
The Avenger is my favorite body shape.. i now have three: Syn Custom, Syn Special, and Blackjack A-7.

And even though it's all the same body shape, they're all different in a sense. The Syn Custom is a flat top, the Syn Special is a carved top, and the Blackjack A-7 is a bevel top.

And i can definitely see myself buying another Avenger in the future.. i definitely want one with a sustainiac in it.

You referencing the Thrash band when you say Overkill? Cause they're a pretty good band.
