New Year's Resolutions?

I know I'm over a week late at this point, but I'm bored and really need to put the thesis away for a minute. Anyone out there make any interesting (or not-so-interesting) New Year's Resolutions?

I resolved to work on my writing (both music and the kind with words), 'cause frankly, I'm not a very good songwriter. I used to do a lot of creative writing (though I was never that great at it either), so I'd love to get back on that as well. My plan is to try and write something every day, and one complete - if rudimentary and/or crummy - song each week or so.

Anyone else?

IIRC we already have one topic like this... but could be my memory from other forum...  :icon_scratch:

I have only one:  to swear more often and more vehemently. F@#k that should be a damn hell a$$ easy one to keep, sh@t.  Figure I might as well aim low.

I did a search, and the only one i saw was from 2008/2009. If this is a repeat, my bad...

mine are probably the same as last year... and the year before...etc..
get more healthy, lose weight, that kind of stuff

I don't recall seeing one on this board for 2010 either but I could have easily missed it.  I quit smoking for the new year so I'm a little distracted.

I'm trying to read every day, not just cracked.com articles and comics.  I have tons of books I haven't read, so I want to put those books to use.  That and I'm trying to be more consistent with my guitar practice rather than having binge days where I practice for 5 hours and then not practicing for several days.  I think it's better to practice a few hours a day than to do that.  I should probably try to exercise a little more too.

i cuss entirely too much and can be pretty damn vulgar  :icon_biggrin:  i'd really like to cut that sh*t out before it gets me in trouble. that and conquering a few fears. hoping for a pretty productive new year!

To listen to a wider variety of music. Save my money to buy a peavey 6505+ or if I can hold on to it long enough, a used Mesa. Speed up my playing, at least play through my book of scales twice a day. Exercise more.
