New Strat / First post

Hey everyone

This is my first post here, although I've been following this wonderful forum for a few months now.

Four weeks ago today, I decided to find a new body for my strat. Of course, the first place I turned was warmoth. Here is the result of my latest endeavor (and my first with warmoth):

Warmoth Vintange Alder Body
Satin nitro lacquer
Wilkinson VSVG tremelo system
Fender Rosewood neck / Fender Pickups.

I've always loved the look (and tone) or thin coated, clear finishes.

That's a very clean & solid look (although the pics are astronomically large).

Don't forget to set your intonation.

The intonation is a bit tricky with the VSVG. I think that I have finally figured it out, though.

I'm not sure if it works with Windows, or perhaps it's browser-dependent, but in the Linux version of Firefox you can hit CTRL+ or CTRL- to enlarge or reduce images. Saves you the step of downloading/editing the things yourself. Opera also does it, but I don't remember the keystroke combination. I don't know if Internet Exploder does it, but who cares? If you're using that, you deserve whatever hardship comes your way <grin>

 

[Jumble Jumble]

In Chrome you can right-click and choose "open image in new tab". It'll size the image to however big your browser window is.

In IE... well, yeah. Don't use IE.
