Here's a little diddy I whipped up about a long distance relationship of mine that dissolved. She lived in NYC and I'm on the opposite coast. I reckoned that even though we lived on the same piece of land (understatement?), there might as well have been an ocean between us, hence the title.
Normally I play heavily distorted or bluesy music, but discovered how amazing a nice acoustic guitar is. I also discovered how crappy my finger style is!
Sounds like poop over my macbook, but decent in some cans or through the monitors.
I basically used - Taylor 814CE/Schecter Studio 4 (I think lol)/Duet 2/GarageBand.
It's my first time recording anything and writing or playing a bass line. Will be adding vocals as soon as the lyrics are finished. Need to re track the chorus guitars with a mic I just received (BlueBird). Still working on mix. Feel free to critique. Still learning.
