oh my goodness
i remember following the thread of you building this thing like a year ago, then i lost track of the forum :confused4:
how does this thing play, man?

when I replaced the neck I took the opportunity to change the angle of the neck pocket by about 1 degree steeper. the new neck sits great and I can get a super low action. the guitar sounds just amazing. If I have time today I will try to make a vid.

Hey that's very cool!  Looks like it would be a kick to play.  Everything about this looks intriguing; except maybe the locking nut.  Can you briefly explain the cardboard construction?
Quite nice  :o

first off the locking nut is only finger tight as the sperzel tuners are locking, but that is what came with the neck. the cardboard part came from the model, there is no cardboard in the final guitar. you can check out the build here

Wow man; what an amazing process!  Beautiful brain-child.  Can we plug her in yet?  :hello2: Well done!

played through a marshall dsl 401 no pedals. caution playing stinks.

That is a seriously awesome instrument you've conceived.  Looks like you're having a blast with it; sounds great!  though I would have liked to hear more without distortion to get more of a sense of this beauty's character.  Well done and thanks for sharing.  My nose might be stuffed up; but it didn't seem like your playing stunk as bad as you led us to believe.  :guitaristgif:
