This is my first Warmoth bass and really don't regret it ! I should have known much sooner...
Warmoth woods are gorgeous and the finish is perfect !

[EDIT]
The sound is AWFUL !!!
The sound is AWSOME !!!
[/EDIT]
Woods ? Pickups ? Can't tell exactly but it's incredible !"

Way much better than my 15 years old P-Bass Deluxe 4 strings that is just a nice toy...

The whole thing has been assembled and set up by an instrument maker here in Belgium (www.auxan.com).

It's the best electric bass guitar I ever played so far in my entire life !

Thanks Warmoth ! Thanks Auxan !

I don't think "AWFUL" is the word you meant given the rest of your review..

But man is that thing gorgeous... I want.

Thanks NQbass.

The sound is awful   awesome COMPARED to my good old P-Bass Deluxe 4 strings. I meant it, and I still mean it.
Played with nailed fingers, it's even better, of course...

Actually, its sound reminds me of my father's classical guitar sound : each note is very well defined, from low ends to highs.

Beautiful! I wish I could play her.

But just so people look back at this thread in the future, let's set this straight.
Since I'm assuming you're from Belgium, it would be save to assume that you speak French, German, or Dutch.
You said the bass sounds "awful". That is a bad sound. Sehr schlecht!
Reading into the rest of your topic, I believe you meant it sounds "awesome". Sehr gut!

I don't know French or Dutch, but I hope this helps!

For me "an awful sound" means a VERY GOOD SOUND.

But, oops, I think I made a terrible mistake, "awful" means VERY BAD, right ?

LOOOOOL, sorry, my mistake !  :tard:

Thanks Paul-less !!!

Thanks

I love it, I get used to the neck and, even unplugged, my chin firmly pressed against the body, it sounds very good !

First rehearsal yesterday with my baby :

Played the first time on my Trace Elliot 200W => WOOOW !!! OOOOOH LORD, I just can't believe it !!! WHAT A SOUND ! Even in passive mode !

There's a HUGE difference ! My old Pbass can't compete such a sound, it's totally different and WAY MUCH BETTER ! (music style : rock, pop)
