Yo, so youse guys pre-order new gear or wait a until a while after things have been available? I called Sweetwater about the new Boss OD200 and apparently they're so backordered I'd missed the next shipment. It's like, whose list do I gotta be on, Schindler's? That thing looks as baller as that movie Rollerball.

Anybody else have something they're f'in AMPED about on pre-order? The gear page is putting me to sleep today. I'm so juiced up on my homemade ranch-based energy drinks and don't want to go to my lame second shift job.

I just wanna stay home and shred until my fingers fall off and then reattach them with Titebond and keep going until I hit trancedance where I can eat cheeseburgers with Ronald Reagan and Jimi Hendrix. Is that so much to ask?

I never pre-order a new product. I've seen too many wonky roll outs that totally boned early adopters. (Think LP sized video Discs, or "Windows Millennium", a DOS based series 9 OS that couldn't get out of its own way. A year later XP came out....) Once a product's out for a while, and the early adopters have preformed their uncompensated beta testing, there's plenty of time for me to order one for myself, if it's passed muster. Lets face it Brother, the latest and greatest, sometimes ain't.

That said, it's my sincere hope that your new pedal far exceeds your wildest expectations!  :icon_thumright:

Thanks! I feel that, Broba Fett. Big things, sure, I get waiting on stuff (like the Robot Les Paul, what a disaster) but a pedal I'm not too worried about. I just want to plurg it into my Orange Rocker and MELT FACES

I do not pre-order, and I do not get on waiting lists. Ever.

I see places like analogman, where there is a two-year wait list for a King of Tone pedal, and I'm like "whaaaaa??" It's an overdrive pedal, not too dissimilar from 9,742 other overdrive pedals. But....even if it were the best overdrive pedal invented in the history of ever, I am not going to get on a wait list for it. Manufacturer: if you want me to consider it, make them available. I will not play your Nintendo-inspired game of artificial scarcity.

I think pre-ordering is petty much just a way for companies to forecast demand.

+1 on all of the above.  I only got on the wait list for one thing:  A Tesla model III.

I only now just asked for my deposit back.  :(

I’ve wait listed a couple items from Fractal Audio. No issues.

Now let’s jump back to the early 80s. I waited list (with 1/3 down) on a Bren Ten (firearm).  Over 2.5 years later, I got my money back.

H yeah, my good Bros. I feel all those stances and dances.

I guess when you're from the streets and have seen a prostitute stab a clown, waiting a few extra weeks for a Boss OD isn't that bad. There are always worse things in life (the clown was kinda asking for it, TBH).

I got on a "waiting list" for a set of LaBella short scale thru body strings.  Just because I couldn't find them anywhere, and also had something to use until they arrived.  However, in the past I've ordered from bestbassgear, discovered something was on back order, and cancelled the whole thingamabob.

Coming from Brooklyn, a neighborhood that used to be called Bed-Sty, and the lower-eastside back in the day, I've seen a couple of things too.  Broccoli, I gotta ask ... where ya' from?

I almost pre-order an Hammersmith K bass two years ago. Since the model never came out (yet), I'm glad I did not.

Duuuude, were practically neighbors. I'm from the West End of St Louis. Seeing bad stuff gave me a strong sense of justice which is why I do loss prevention at Wal-Mart. It's like, do I define the corporate ethos or does it define me? #deep

Are you still in Brooklyn? I'd love to unicycle over and air DJ in your personal space.

West End, St. Lou the home of Chuck Berry!  Nope no longer a New Yorker, while still cool, it gentrified.  :sad1:
