Strat build has LesPaul Rhythm/Lead switch in Tone 2 location to split the bridge humbucker.

I want to replace it with a matching round Chrome knob

What kind of switch to buy. Rear route maple cap.

Thanks

Larry

If I have read your post correctly you want a switch that you can fit a knob to that looks like your volume and other tone control. The simplest way to do this would be get hold of a push pull or push push pot and use the switch on that. You could also use the pot part of it or not as an additional tone control or blend pot.

Aside from a push-pull (or push-push) pot, which would be my preference, there are rotary switches if you want to add more than two settings.

I just something similar.  Agree with stratamania, a push pull pot works perfectly to flip to a coil split.

Will a regular pot with 3/8” of thread be long enough to poke out the the rear routed body, or is a longer threaded bushing needed?

I really don’t like the idea of Reducing the wood thickness from the back.

Strat body is Mahogany with Quilted maple top

Thanks
