Thanks, What about a chambered Black Korina back with a Walnut top?Cagey said:A contrast is always nice. I prefer a light or figured neck or body in contrast to an unfigured or solid-finish body. So, for a light Maple neck, maybe Walnut top on the body? A whole walnut body would look good, but be pretty heavy.
Thanks, I think that would be the way to goCagey said:That would look great and not be obscenely heavy. I can imagine loving that a lot.
Sounds good..."F" hole would take up space. I want to inlay the body with something Nordic.vetteman said:Thinline with no "f" hole! :headbang:
That looks amazing. I ordered a Thin Line Chambered Black Korina back with Walnut top, rear routed and Schaller 474 black bridge this morning. I had the maple neck already from the original build concept. It's a showcase Warmoth maple on maple Wizard. This will be the family Scandinavian and German ancestry build.Rick said:Or go with harmonizing ... chambered swamp ash with a lightly flamed maple neck looks nice, too.
Thanks, Now I have to explain to the wife what she bought me for a late birthday gift. She did say I was too hard to buy for and to pick out something I really wanted :evil4:Rick said:Chambered black korina is awesome; and with walnut, man, that will be overthetop good.
That's why, in my house, Gift Cards are KING! For me, it's Warmoth or Musicians Friend, for the wife, it's Zappos or Khols, and my sons usually want Amazon. We let everyone know, before a holiday or event, which one we are interested in. For instance, this will be a Warmoth Fathers Day! That way I can start saving for the body for my "next" build. (Already have the neck put away.....) :glasses9:JPOL007 said:Thanks, Now I have to explain to the wife what she bought me for a late birthday gift. So true :icon_thumright: Showed her a picture of the order last night and her response was priceless. She loved the Warmoth custom body builder site and designed one herself. Kind of wondering what will happen this X-mas.stratamania said:Whatever you do steer clear of Walnut and Black Korina in combination unless it is for the wifeccasion14:

Thanks, The actual birthday was May 17th but I get to take as long as I need to find something I want. My wife is actually a very cool person... even if she makes me dig holes in the yard for flowers :headbang:Rick said:Forgot to mention ... Happy Birthday!
