Warmoth should offer this as an option, it's much better in my opinion than their contoured heel..

Hey, that looks cooI.  I'd like to try it out.  It looks like that routing would achieve the same results as the contoured heel.  Why do you think it is better; does it give you even more access up high?  The scallop is a nice visual, definitely.

It makes the whole heel a bit thinner, I feel I can reach the upper frets easier than with just the slight contour.  Jackson and Charvel have been doing it for years, and all my Jacksons have it and I love the way it feels, and the visual is cool too.... :icon_biggrin:
 
Some of the bolt-on Warwick basses do this too.  I used to have a Warwick Corvette, and the heel was very similar to this.

This would be mad!!! Especially on builds with the 24 fret extension... Fret access = happy player    :occasion14:
