Neck options

So i found a picture online of a neck.  Bloodwood/ebony with gold frets.  Pretty much the same neck i planned on buying and it looked amazing....  I figured if I did get the gold frets, I should top it off with a brass nut but it seems it is just too costly to have one installed and actually fitted.  Was wondering if anyone has any recommendations of the nuts offered by warmoth preinstalled.  If i did get one from warmoth I would also drop down to the SS frets rather than gold.

Warmoth does excellent nut installs IMO , I always go for the white Corian .

+1 to the quality. I personally always go with Black Graphtech.

I did my first few nuts myself when StewMac had delrin nuts. When that stopped I switched to Warmoths Graphtech nuts. Both in black and white depending on the color scheme.

I have a neck like that installed on one of my VIPs - Ebony over Bloodwood w/ gold frets...

I had the same thought as you when I was putting it together - maybe a brass nut would be a Good Thing? But, I ended up installing a black Graphtech nut, which matches the Ebony just fine.

I'll tell you something else about that Bloodwood - it's very dense so it polishes up like a dream! It's so silky smooth when you're done it's hard to believe it's wood.

It's a heavy neck, though. That one weighs like 2 lbs once you've got tuners on it.
