Neck help

Hi all, I'm pretty new to this and my guitar tech is doing my build... But here is my question...
I have a neck, not a warmoth but its pretty nice (for the price)
It's still a little bow back and the truss rod is at full tension.
Is there any way I can fit this/make it better?
I've been told it's perfectly playable but not perfect
It's a straight 10" radius flame maple
Any advice would be appreciated, is the truss rod replaceable? Have I wasted my money?
Has the wood not been dried out properly and might get better with time

If the truss rod is at full tension, that's why you have a back bow to the neck. You need to loosen it to get some relief.

Think loosen = relax = relief.

Could be. I don't have the neck here so all I can go by is what he said.

A tech should know that.  Maybe he means it is tightened all the way and the relief won't approach being straight.

I think that's what was said, I should be picking it up tomorrow so I'll find out more details then.
I've seen pics of jigs which presumable are for straightening the neck on the net, is this something worth even thinking about or should I stay clear?
Would be a shame if it wasn't perfect

The jigs you speak of are for straightening the neck to counteract the bow and straighten a neck without strings on it for fret work.  They will not fix a neck, simply because when you undo it, the neck goes back to where it was.

For reference, bow is a convex shape like a hill with the middle frets being high.  Tightening the truss rod clockwise causes this.  Relief is a concave shape with the middle frets lower.  Loosening the truss rod counter clock wise causes this.  With strings on tuned to pitch, the neck should be straight or have slight relief, depending on your setup preference.  If the truss rod is tightened all the way and you have relief and you should have bow before the strings are even on it, something's wonky.

Mmm, o.k thanks that's great information I'm armed with when I go to see him,
As I said before, he said its perfectly playable but it depends on how I want it set up.
My ibanez is so well set up that I have to make seasonal adjustments, and I would prefer the warmoth not to be so unforgiving and I think as this neck is thicker and a straight radius I should be ok. I'll find out tomorrow and hopefully post some great pics later this week. I can always put a warmoth neck on it at a later date

if there is too much relief and the truss rod nut is bottomed then the wood under the nut may be compressed. this is often possible to fix with a washer or two under the nut on the truss rod.
