I haven't been around here in a few years but I figure I show Warmoth so much love on other forums so I might as well post here once in awhile too. Anyway, I just finished my latest Warmoth build which is the blue Regal below.

Unfinished Warmoth Strat project. I think it's a 2008 body and I do not know what year the neck is from. One piece swamp ash body, bocote neck, 59 roundback profile. Maybe someday I will complete it.

Nice babies! We were just talking the other day about how we missed those double-cutaway LPs. I'm also envious of that Bocote neck. Nice piece. Should finish that one up.

Thanks! I love the DC LPs too, well, everything but the somewhat restricted upper fret access. However, Warmoth made the new Regal upper fret access amazing so I'm sure they could do the same if they ever re-designed or released a new DC LPs style body for sure.

I know, finishing that Strat is next on my to-do list!

The LP with wilkinson and strat head is super cool!

I know I've seen another Warmoth LP with strat head before, and those just works SO GOOD together in my opinion!

Fine instruments. I love the Regal. Did you have to fiddle the neck pickup mounting ring on it to not hang off the cutaway?

Haha, thanks, I like it too although it confuses a lot of people!

No, not at all actually! Warmoth really did a great job designing the Regal!

That's good since it's a possibility for one of my future builds. Like, when I get the hankering for another LP. Oh, yeah, maybe with a Strat headstock.  :glasses10:

Nice, nice, nice work. That color with the strat goes great with the Bocote. I gotta get beyond the "Model T" mentality of ordering guitar bodies in gloss black. Good to see your posts. Best to you.

I agree, I love the way the bocote looks with that transparent green on swamp ash!

Thanks!

I was browsing posts and came up on this one. I see that you have used the conversion neck on your builds. I built a Jazzmaster and a Strat and used the standard scale length on both. I play fingerstyle so I built these guitars with 1 7/8ths nut widths. I used the standard thin profile on the Jazzmaster and the fat back on the Strat. I like them both. I recently bought a Squire Strat on Amazon and replaced the electronics with 2 Seth Lover humbuckers and I'm actually in the middle of the build (this is number 3) and am going with 300k pots and .033mfd caps but on this one I have a Warmoth conversion neck with the standard thin profile and a 1 3/4ths nut width with ss frets low and wide and anyway I'm anxious to check out the 24 3/4ths scale neck!!! How do you like yours?

You know this thread is a little stale? That said, you don't say the width of the neck your receiving. It's good to explore different widths and lengths to see what you like. Since I'm used to 1 7/8 width and 1 3/4, I find the a 24 3/4ths in a 1 5/8 width cramped. You'll only know if you try. The small neck was good for the Bo Diddly thumb over the neck thing. My only advice would be, based on my experience, regardless of length, that:
On a 1 7/8 go with normal thin
On a 1 5/8 go with boat neck
In the middle, I like Wolfgang profile.

This is just me, however, and YMMV.

My first 2 builds had fender scaled necks. My third one, the VIP, has a 24.75" boat neck in 1.65" nut width.

Best neck I've owned, and maybe played.

My next build will have one too.

Thanks guys, the nut width on the one I'm building is 1.75. I probably should have gotten the boat profile but I got the standard thin profile. Maybe I'll get the fat one on my next build. 🎸
