Music Man Stingray 5 Neck

While I love my Music Man Stingray 5, I’m disappointed that Ernie Ball won’t build me the neck I want.

I am curious which Warmoth neck will fit my bass? Will one of the 5-string paddle heads fit? Is there someone you guys could recommend who could do the neck work for me? Meaning take the paddle board neck (one I were to receive it) cut the right shape, paint the headstock to match my bass, etc.?

I want a highly flamed maple neck (not roasted), matching satin lipstick red headstock, white binding, and a chrome “Music Man Stingray 5” headstock logo.

The short answer, Warmoth bass necks are incompatible with MM bodies.

…which means the obvious solution is to buy a neck and a body. A G5 body gets you to a similar look as the MM, IMO.

Thanks for this! MM seems to really want to make things difficult. They won't build you a custom guitar and they won't license their necks or bodies to anyone else (as far as I know).

Maybe I need to find someone who can build me a neck for this thing. I'm sure someone has the knowledge to do so.

I think if you order the MM pickup in the sweet spot a Stingray Pickguard will fit too.
