Can I suggest we have a two part answer to spambot floods? One - select a volunteer or three in diiferent parts of the world. Like some of the Oz/NZ folks, and a couple in Europe. That'll give us pretty much round the clock coverage, rather than wait for the west coast to wake up and stumble into work after last night's gig.

Two - either up the annoyingness of the registration captchas or put a human in the loop. (see volunteer moderator pool, for goodness sake don't pull anyone out of the finishing dept)
 
YEP thats what we do on FutureGuitarNow forum I'm in OZ there is one in both east & west coast of USA
plus one in UK one up in Canada & I think in Japan too.
Need a coverage spread out for the different time zones to combat this behaviour.

I did post something in the 'Suggestion Section' also.
