Mini Hum Size Question

In a guitar with a pickguard, would a mini hum fit into the spot left by a full size humbucker route? ???  :dontknow:

Hum 2-3/4" x 1-1/2"

Mini hum 2-5/8" x 1-1/8"

It really depends on the legs. There is enough width, length room but the area taken out for the legs is the interference area. If the pickup uses long legs then it most likely will have some issue though it may squeak by if you trim the screws and/or if you are using a slightly raised ring. If the pickup uses short legs (which is what I use) then there is less likely to be an issue but no guarantee.

EDIT* The biggest issue is how tightly the route in the cavity was done. I have seen some that will easily accomodate a mini and others that barely let a full size fit.

No, but you can replace mini humbuckers with p90s and viceversa
