I'm not sure I can call this a "work in progress" since it's already done, but here's the specs my build:

-Fender MiM Blacktop Tele HH body
-SD P-rails wired through two push/pull knobs
-Hipshot hardtail bridge
-Warmoth pro standard thin ebony on goncalo neck
-SS 6105 frets, Graphtech nut
-Hipshot locking tuners
-Loxx strap buttons

For quite a while I'd been drooling over building a versatile custom guitar with a beautiful Warmoth neck. Finally got her done! Really impressed with the neck as well. Gives me tones from jazz to hard rock and anything in between. The clean tone especially wowed me, it's got a really articulate, crisp sound that I couldn't be happier with. :)

Thanks Warmoth community for the help/advice!  :eek:ccasion14:

Very handsome.  Good work!

DId you burnish that neck yourself, or does it have a finish on it?

Are those Chrome covered P-Rails then?
I didn't know that they were available that way, looks much nicer.

They don't come that way, but I really agree it should be an option. It's a standard set of black p-rails, but I ordered a set of chrome covers with no holes from Philadelphia Luthier Supply, and they slid on like a glove. They fit just tight enough that they aren't going to go anywhere, and I haven't noticed any feedback issues or significant change in tone.

Thanks Bagman! Its just burnished, I put a lot of blood sweat and tears into it. It would've be a crime to put a finish on that piece of wood. You can't see it very well in the pics, but I did the headstock too, just so it looks snazzy.

Beautiful. I really like that Blacktop color scheme — grey body, black pickguard and dark fingerboard. The back of the neck is stunning, but I also find the streaked ebony really attractive.

Thanks, the fingerboard really is gorgeous... I love the look of the not-so-black "marbled ebony" as Taylor calls it. I was a bit bummed to see how much less noticeable it is under the strings. This is the pic from before I bolted it on and strung it up
