Metal plate for input jack

Does anyone know where I can get a metal plate for my jack that is somewhat bendable? I ordered a Z-Body and the jack plate I ordered is too flat to fit the curve of the body. I tried bending it but it is far too durable.

What jack plate did you order? and what jack route did you get done? I have a Z shaped bass and i had the 7/8 route done on the side, and the LP Square jack plate was right for it,

Ordered the football shaped plate. Can you take a pic and show me what it looks like? I had the 1/2" hole drilled. I figured I could always enlarge the hole.

Sorry for lateish reply, was stuck on sims for hours  :icon_biggrin:
Here you go

Yeah the football plate is meant for bodies with much less of a curve to where the side jack is located,
And the 1/2" from what it says on the website is meant to be used with a deep panel jack without any actual jackplate,
however possibly with a ring under it to stop it rotating, which im guessing would be supplied with the deep panel jack.

It would be nice if that was part of the description when looking at the parts.

I've bent them before, but I am sort of barbaric. Clamp it in a vise and BANG on it for a while... :party07: It wants to bend only at the hole, so you also have to grab the tips with visegrips and bend them too. It scratches up the finish but barbarians don't care. My computer's having a major depressive episode and I can't add any new pictures unless I can scare it straight.

So, I brought the body to guitar center so I could find a better fit. I'm now convinced that guitar center is complete garbage... The lady at the desk inspected the box I brought the body in, and tried grabbing the body and I wouldn't let her, because oils and whatnot from lotion can damage the unfinished wood. She said 'thats stupid'. Well I made it to the parts section, and sure enough they didn't have any jack plates except the one I have already. Not one single employee in the store knew what warmoth was. Lame.

My suggestion is to find a luthier or something that can reem it out to 7/8" hole, and then get the lp plate from warmoth or somewhere,
not the easiest i know, unless you get a deep panel jack and use that instead, then it should be fine, just wont have the jack panel on it.
